At the Center for Emotional Education, we believe in a science-backed, compassionate, pragmatic approach to emotional healing and nervous system rewiring.

Our certification program is designed for coaches, therapists, healers, and leaders who want to take their practice to a new level.

The link above will help you sign up for a “Testing the Waters” session with Natalie or Nathan. We’ll collaborate with you to discover if the you and the program are a good fit.

  • Have you always been a forward-thinker, a curious soul, and a tender spirit?

  • Have you studied, worked-on, researched, and examined the relationships in your life?

  • Do you have the sense that you’d like to grow and expand beyond your current experience? Do you think you’d be great at guiding others to do so too?

  • Are you often the person others lean on to feel better?

  • Do you want to understand, and help others understand, what happens when we get “thrown off”? And what to do about it?

  • Are you curious how to unlock a kind of happiness that isn’t dependent on thousands of external things needing to change first?

This is the program for you.

There is not yet another institution in the world where you can get this training. We have spent the last 20 years, 13 in active 1:1 practice with our pioneering clients, researching, studying, and supporting others in emotional processing and healing work.

We had to go the long way to locate and pool the diverse resources, in order to build a comprehensive and cogent system, and then to watch it work in our own lives and in the lives of hundreds of our clients and students, just to be certain we had cultivated something that could be passed on to others successfully, repeatably, and in a straightforward and accessible manner.

We’ve spent our lives perfecting this curriculum, so now you can get the best emotional support training on the planet, at the tip of your fingers.

How Does This Differ from Therapy or Life Coaching?

NeuroEmotional Coaching is different from therapy in that…

though we also practice deep listening, and emotional exploration, we never offer advice as to what a client should do with their life. Instead we help clients regularly get into a brain state where they know what they should do with their life.

NeuroEmotional Coaching is different from life-coaching in that…

though we will look into the future with clients and help them act according to their life vision, we will never do that instead of, or before helping clients process the feelings that stand in the way of that vision.

Our modality offers a distinct approach by bridging the gap between traditional therapy and life coaching, integrating neuroscience, emotional coprocessing, and nervous system reprogramming to support deep, sustainable change.

Here’s what makes NeuroEmotional Coaching different and more successful than other approaches:

  1. Focus on Emotional Processing and Brain Rewiring
Our modality is designed to help clients identify and shift deep-rooted emotional patterns at a neurological level. Unlike traditional therapy, which often focuses primarly on processing past trauma, NeuroEmotional Coaching employs methods like emotional exploration and co-processing, nervous system titration and regulation, as well as practical neuroplasticity exercises to rewire the brain's responses. The goal is to create new synaptic pathways that support healthier emotional outcomes.

  2. Integrative Approach to the Nervous System
Especially relevant for clients who struggle with chronic overwhelm, anxiety, or depression – NeuroEmotional Coaching goes beyond the cognitive focus of life coaching by acknowledging and working directly with the body's nervous system responses. Among other approaches, techniques involve somatic work, which helps clients recognize and recalibrate their nervous system responses to activating stimuli, fostering greater resilience and emotional stability in real time.

  3. Tools for Immediate, Practical Application
NeuroEmotional Coaching equips clients with tools designed for quick integration into daily life. While therapy can sometimes remain abstract and life coaching can be overly goal-centric, our modality teaches actionable strategies, allowing clients to work with and regulate their emotions on the go. This includes tools that work with Survival, Emotional, and Executive Brain states, helping clients to consciously respond rather than primally react.

  4. Goal-Oriented, Yet Healing-Focused
While NeuroEmotional Coaching, like life coaching, is forward-driven and goal-oriented, it doesn't overlook the healing and integrative aspects often emphasized in therapy. Our modality supports clients to address and mend emotional wounds that block them from reaching their goals, balancing self-awareness, personal growth, and actionable outcomes.

  5. Client Agency and Self-Regulation
NeuroEmotional Coaching emphasizes client agency by training them in techniques that promote their own emotional regulation and adaptive interdependence, blending the reflective nature of therapy with the proactive structure of coaching. This empowers clients to not just process emotions in healthy ways, but to also actively reshape how they experience and manage them. Our modality is also designed to support clients to consciously and consistently activate their own Executive Brain state, so they are clear, focused, and able to act in full alignment with who they authentically are.

This modality is well-suited for high achievers who need effective, scalable strategies to address both personal and professional challenges, making it a powerful blend of healing, growth, and performance. When our clients want to be their best self doing their best work, there's no better set of tools than NeuroEmotional Coaching.

What Can I Do With This Certification?

After completing Certification, students have a variety of pathways they can pursue, depending on their personal goals and professional interests. The combination of emotional intelligence, neuroscience, and coaching skills, opens doors across multiple industries and sectors. Here are several potential directions you can take:

1. Ask for a Raise for your Current Position

Emotional Intelligence and neuroemotional skills often result in improved leadership, better team dynamics, enhanced conflict resolution, and increased productivity. When you're able to clearly show how this training has enhanced your value to the company, a 20% raise is reasonable.

2. Raise the Rates for your Current Offerings and Services

With NeuroEmotional methods included in your practice your clients will likely experience deeper emotional shifts, cognitive rewiring, and quicker, more profound results. Clients appreciate and often expect their coach to continue learning and growing. You can justify charging more for your services because you're bringing cutting-edge, science-backed techniques to your coaching practice.

Typical coaching rate increases after significant training or certification can range from 10-30%. For example:

  • If you're currently charging $100 per session, you could raise your rate to $110–$130.

  • If you're charging a package rate of $1,500, increasing to $1,950 may feel appropriate after factoring in the added value of NeuroEmotional Coaching.

3. Secure a Position in a Support Field

NeuroEmotional Coach Training can lead to a variety of job opportunities, particularly in roles that require strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, leadership, and emotional regulation. Here are some examples:

Leadership and Management Roles, Human Resources (HR), Customer Service and Client Relations, Education and Teaching, Sales and Marketing, Healthcare

4. Expand an Existing Coaching Practice

If students are already working as coaches in another modality (life coaching, executive coaching, health coaching, etc), NeuroEmotional Coaching can be an additional tool to:

  • Enhance client outcomes by integrating emotional regulation, emotional processing, trauma-informed approaches, and client empowerment.

  • Address deeper brain wiring that may be preventing change, which other coaching methods do not tackle directly.

  • Attract a broader client base, especially those seeking help with emotional overwhelm, stress, grief, or history of trauma.

5. Start a Private Coaching Practice

Graduates can launch their own coaching business, offering NeuroEmotional Coaching services to clients seeking help with emotional regulation, stress management, the effects of trauma, or personal growth. They can specialize in:

  • Personal coaching: Supporting individuals in emotional healing, building emotional resilience, and achieving personal goals.

  • Career coaching: Helping professionals improve emotional regulation at work, navigate career transitions, and build leadership skills.

  • Relationship coaching: Assisting individuals or couples in developing emotional intelligence in relationships, enhancing communication, and resolving conflict.

6. Work in Organizational Development or Corporate Coaching

Many organizations are increasingly focusing on emotional intelligence, leadership development, and mental health. NeuroEmotional Coaching skills can be applied in:

  • Executive coaching: Working with leaders and managers to enhance their emotional intelligence, communication skills, and leadership effectiveness.

  • Team building and conflict resolution: Offering coaching or consultation to improve team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of emotional awareness.

  • Stress management and employee wellness: Providing services to help employees manage stress, avoid burnout, and maintain emotional well-being.

7. Combine NeuroEmotional Coaching with Therapy or Counseling

For students who are also licensed therapists, counselors, or social workers, NeuroEmotional Coaching provides additional tools to support clients. They can:

  • Integrate neuroemotional coaching techniques and concepts with therapeutic approaches to guide clients through emotional and cognitive rewiring.

  • Offer trauma-informed coaching to help clients process past distress in a safe and supportive way.

  • Incorporate brain-based coaching methods to enhance therapy outcomes.

8. Collaborate with Health and Wellness Professionals

NeuroEmotional Coaching can complement other wellness practices, and graduates may collaborate with professionals such as:

  • Nutritionists and personal trainers: Supporting clients with emotional blocks related to their health goals.

  • Yoga instructors or bodyworkers: Integrating emotional regulation into mind-body practices, helping clients release stored emotional tension through movement or breathwork.

  • Holistic health practitioners: Working with clients on the emotional and mental aspects of their healing journey.

9. Offer Trauma-Informed Coaching for Special Populations

With their neuroemotional approach, graduates can work with specific populations that may be dealing with significant emotional or trauma-related challenges, including:

  • Veterans: Assisting with emotional regulation, emotional processing, and symptoms of PTSD.

  • Survivors of domestic abuse or violence: Offering safe spaces to heal emotional wounds and rebuild capacity and resilience.

  • First responders: Helping police, firefighters, and healthcare professionals manage emotional stress and manage symptoms of trauma.

10. Work as a Consultant

  • Certification Graduates may Enhance Emotional Intelligence Programs for Schools or Nonprofits

    • Graduates passionate about education or community work can work as a consultant on programs to help:

      • Students and educators: Foster emotional regulation, improve focus, and reduce anxiety in educational settings.

      • Nonprofit organizations: Provide emotional wellness programs for underserved populations, addressing issues like trauma recovery, emotional health, or stress management.

11. Write, Teach, Create Content

  • Certification Graduates May Write, Teach, or Create Content

    This could include:

    • Creating online courses: Sharing NeuroEmotional Coaching techniques, emotional intelligence insights, or neuroscience-based coaching strategies with a wider audience.

    • Developing educational content: Producing blog posts, articles, videos, or podcasts on the topics we teach.

NeuroEmotional Coach Training Certification provides a versatile toolkit that can be applied in numerous fields, from one-on-one coaching to corporate leadership development, trauma work, or wellness practices. The flexibility of the skill set allows graduates to tailor their career path to their passions, whether that’s personal development, emotional healing, or creating systemic change.

What’s It Like?

This program is designed for comprehensive learning.

We’ll show you what this work feels like. You will receive extensive, in-depth personal support from both Natalie and Nathan. You’ll understand what it’s like to have a master coach use cutting-edge neuroscience, effective support strategies, and over a decade’s worth of experience, to your maximum benefit. You will experience first-hand what brain-change feels and looks like.

And we’ll pull back the curtain to show you the framework behind the support — how the neuro-emotional matrix functions, what is happening neurochemically to help you feel better, why and how the support strategies work.

And, we’ll train you to use this modality with the beloveds in your life — your family members, your partner, your business partner, and your clients. We’ll show you how to be with clients in a way that drastically changes their lives without burning out your own.

  • Learn how emotions work in the brain and body and what that means for your client’s life -- including finances, relationships, health, and so much more.

  • Find out how to work with emotions so that they don't build-up, blow up, make people sick, or make them do things they wish we hadn't.

  • Understand how to change emotional habits in a way that re-trains the brain -- making your clients more capable and resilient in the face of future challenges.

  • Learn how to support the development of a strong safety foundation within oneself that is unshakeable even when things are really rough.

  • Help others make sense of all the awful, weird, uncomfortable happenings that occur in life, and know what to do to alter or avoid those kinds of happenings.

  • Support your clients to re-parent themselves and ease trauma.

Your Neurological Empowerment Guides

Natalie Christensen CMNEC and Nathan M McTague CMNEC

As founders of the Center for Emotional Education, we’ve spent the last seventeen years supporting thousands of students and hundreds of one-to-one clients with our transformative concepts and unique modality. We’ve also been cultivating and refining our signature system of trauma-informed and science-based support through our experience and relationships with our clients – watching, listening, and learning from what works. What we’ve created through that collaboration, standing on the shoulders of the giants before us, and over the course of thousands of hours of development and innovation is an incomparable way of working with clients (of any age and in any venue) to invite optimal neural functioning, optimal healing, and optimal growth.

Even though we taught numerous, popular online courses and workshops, for many years our work was focused on the individual. We were supporting each of our clients to experience a lot less anxiety, stress, depression, and disconnection, and instead have lives of ease, intimacy, and fulfillment, but our people wanted more.

After experiencing what was possible for them and seeing how this work so utterly changed their lives, our clients began asking how they could “learn to do what you do”? They wanted to bring this way of supporting others into their work, into their homes, into their parenting and partnerships, into all the important relationships of their lives.

So many of our beloved clients just couldn’t believe they hadn’t learned about how emotion works in early childhood, or in school, or even in therapy. They felt such deep regret that they hadn’t known sooner how to get out of survival mode and actually enjoy living. And over and over they kept expressing such deep longing for everyone to receive this life-enhancing knowledge and to be able to work these powerful neuro-emotional tools for the betterment of their lives, and families, and communities.

We used our two decades of research, our extensive training, and fifteen years of one-to-one client experience to develop a curriculum that teaches others how to do what we do. Our graduates use this training to support, nurture, and inspire the important people in their lives at a level they didn’t even know was possible before coming to work with us. Together, our people and their people are using these tools, skills, and concepts to improve emotional intelligence and self-mastery, uplevel existing systems and cultures, and cultivate neuro-psychological health at a global scale. (We call this the Emotional Revolution…)

Each year we select the most eager, earnest, and qualified students to receive the NeuroEmotional Coach Certification. We have developed an incredibly authentic, supportive, emotionally-safe, and dynamic community, and it just keeps getting better. We’d love to welcome you under our empathetic and highly-skilled wings, and train you to help yourself and your people soar.

In this program, we layer your training in the modality through audio and visual presentations, experiential exercises, and direct modeling via mini-coaching sessions with volunteers – so no matter how you learn, we’ve got you covered.

What Our Students Say

I could not have anticipated the profound impact this certification program has had on my life. Unparalleled support of my personal journey, while simultaneously preparing me for my career as a Neurological Empowerment Coach. There’s nothing like it.
- Kate
I am thrilled with the certification program. Natalie and Nathan are masterful teachers and coaches and it’s a transformative experience to study with them. I am learning so much and enjoying applying these teachings in my life and in my 1-1 work with clients.
This work changed my life in a profound way, it feels like clearing a dense fog on a lens I’ve been looking through since childhood and realizing that things are not as they seemed. The world becomes brighter and more meaningful.
- Nina
I decided to do this course after working one to one with Natalie. I had met Natalie through an online course where she was able to respond immediately to a personal situation that had literally been eating away at me for many years. Her response and knowledge offered me a way of working with the situation that got straight to the heart of the matter. I knew at that point that I wanted to work with her in more depth.

I quickly became interested in their approach with working with my own clients. As a herbalist who was working more and more with women and their emotional lives I felt that this knowledge was vital to support the work I was already doing in my own practice.

Having experienced the power of the work in my own life I wanted to share this approach with my own clients.

As a herbalist I was aware that supporting women to make lifestyle changes to support their health means more than just writing a list of suggestions. To help someone make choices that align with their values, health and aspirations means helping someone understand the emotional blocks that prevent them from doing that.

I already understood the power of empathy and deep listening but Natalie and Nathans approach gave me the tools to take this work to another level in understanding our brain states and being able to guide people to their executive powers.

This course was invaluable, unique and fits perfectly with the plant intuition work I do with my clients. It has given me confidence to work in the way that I want to work and this has come from the support and dedication that Nathan and Natalie have given to the development of this work. I am immensely grateful for their commitment to this work and to their emotional intelligence and kindness that shines from them.

I am continuously learning from them and they offer knowledge which is hard to find elsewhere. My own healing practice has been transformed by this course and by the one to one coaching work I do with Natalie.
